Frequently asked questions
Is Team 44 free?
Yes. Team 44 is free to download and use. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. If you enjoy it, there is an optional Buy Me a Coffee link in the app.
Is Team 44 an official Lewis Hamilton or Ferrari app?
No. Team 44 is an unofficial app made by a fan. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Lewis Hamilton, Scuderia Ferrari, Formula 1 or the FIA.
Which devices does Team 44 support?
Team 44 runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and is available on the App Store. It includes Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and Live Activities. An Android version for phones and tablets is on the way.
When is Team 44 coming to Android?
The Android app is in development and is coming soon to Google Play. There is no release date yet. It will have the same core features as the iPhone app, plus Android home screen widgets.
Where does the race data and news come from?
Race calendar, results and statistics come from the Team 44 service, which is maintained by the developer. News headlines come from the public feeds of RaceFans, GrandPrix.com and the FIA, and each story opens on the publisher's own site.
Why are session times different from the times at the track?
Team 44 shows every session in your device's time zone, not the circuit's local time. If you travel or change your device's time zone, the times update to match.
How do race reminders work, and how do I turn them off?
When reminders are on, Team 44 sends a notification before each race weekend. Open the Profile tab and switch off Race reminders to stop them. You can also turn off notifications for Team 44 in your device's Settings.
How do I add the Team 44 widgets?
On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap the add or edit button, then search for Team 44 and choose a widget. On the Lock Screen, touch and hold, tap Customise, then add the Team 44 widget.
The app shows old data or will not load. What should I do?
Pull down on any screen to refresh. Team 44 keeps a saved copy of race data so it still opens without a connection, and it updates as soon as you are back online. If the problem continues, email support with your device model and app version.
